Fun with candidates...

With the influx of GOP debates and steady (sh*t) stream of news about the candidates, I was curious about what would happen if I asked every candidate an honest question about my current financial situation and what advice they could offer to help me. The email was:

Hello [candidate name],

I am an Arizonan who really doesn't follow politics as much as I should but from the little I've watched on the news you seem like a smart person who seems to have the best interests of our country at heart (Thank you btw!) but I need need a little help. I wanna say first of all I don't need a handout, just a little direction. Last year my wife lost her job due to being sick (with something nasty called pleurisy) and couldn't afford medical care and now we're in dire straits over mounting bills with the possibility of losing our home. I'm at a loss to try and figure out options so I ask you what you'd do first in my situation? I've never had to deal with this situation before and frankly it frightens the hell out of me.

....kind of melodramatic and sad (but true). So after writing it, I tried to find a way to contact the candidates. 

Ron Paul - Email form linked nicely from each of his sites. Whether or not he gets it is anyone's guess but at least it's there. And he seemed to be the only candidate who wasn't asking for a handout after the message got sent.

Mitt Romney - Buried at the bottom of his site is a link to "info" email address for inquiries. No word if the ole android will ever see my message. Site looked very impersonal ...well, cold, uninviting, and robotic.

Newt Gingrich - Same as Ron but featured Newt (and his soccerball sized head) grinning like a fratboy at a kegger. Kinda out of character for him to be that accessible, but what do I know.

Rick Santorum - Strangely another impersonal "Info@" email address and an email form buried below the other email addresses. Must have had to do that to avoid all the people who actually googled his name.

...and the dropouts:

Rick Perry - Found his email through the TX governor site since the campaign site was winding down. Rick still looks eerily like a younger Bush sibling...*shudder"

Michele Bachmann - Site says she can only receive emails from people from Massachusetts. So screw that...

Herman Cain - No link at all to contact Mr. Cain. Say it ain't so!

...and as a litmus test I sent the same email to Obama. With the emails sent now I wait.
